feriha-gauntlettNursery Teddy Bear Picnic

Our Nursery children had a fun-filled day today, as they welcomed some special furry VIP guests into their classrooms.

The children brought in their favourite teddy bear for a fantastic day of themed activities, linking to all areas of the curriculum, for their Teddy Bears’ Picnic!

Look at all the fabulous pictures of our Nursery children in their cosy pyjamas.

Special Announcement

I am delighted to announce you the safe arrival of Mr. Mark and his wife Marlena’s baby daughter, Kiana, who was born on Saturday, 7th October. On behalf of the BSB community, I would like to congratulate the family and wish them and their newborn many years of good health, love and happiness.

We are all thrilled by the fantastic news and can’t wait to see little Kiana very soon.

Here is the proud dad looking so happy to meet his baby daughter in the hospital for the first time.

Think Pink

The school is a sea of pink today with everyone dressed up for ‘Think Pink’ day. Staff and students were excited to come to school all dressed in pink to raise funds for Breast Cancer Research. Well done to everyone on their fantastic outfits, and thank you for all of your donations.

Punctuality image

On my page this week, I would like to emphasise the importance of being in school on time as there have been numerous incidents of some families routinely arriving at school after 8.00 a.m. or later.

Please note that pupils should be on site for 7.45 a.m. ready to start lessons at 8.00 a.m. promptly. Children who arrive late are greatly disadvantaged because they miss starting the day with their peers and the beginning of lessons. This means that they are often unsettled and confused about tasks. Their teacher will not always be able to re-explain work.

It is also very important that children establish good routines and habits in preparation for the rest of their lives. Punctuality is a life skill that they need to develop whilst they are young.

Therefore, we kindly ask parents to ensure that their child arrives at school on time to prevent disruption to their child’s own learning and that of others.

Thank you for your help and support with this.

Kind Regards,

Feriha Gauntlett
