Welcome to the Summer Term
A very warm welcome back to school for the Summer Term. I hope you all had a wonderful Spring holiday! The Summer Term is truly in full swing at BSB Infant School! The pupils have returned from the holidays with great enthusiasm, ready for learning and new challenges. It is fantastic to see so many happy faces around school again.
The Summer Term is always a very busy time of the year for the children, parents and the staff and this year is no exception. In the next couple of months children and staff will be occupied with loads of interesting and exciting trips, concerts and end of term celebrations.
Here are a few notable occasions which the Summer Term has in store for us:
- Nursery and Reception Concerts
- Nursery and Reception trips to the theater
- Reception Concert
- Year 2 Dance
- Year 2 Graduation Ceremony
I am really looking forward to an action packed Summer Term!
With my best wishes.
Year 2 – Wax-work Museum of Pioneers
Year 2 children had a fun-filled day on Thursday morning. They had another stunning start to their topic on ‘Explorers and Inventors’. An exciting hunt made history come alive as the Year 2 teachers dressed up as different explorers and inventors so that the students could hot seat them and find out interesting facts about each person. The children got to meet real life versions of the great explorers and inventors such as Jacques Costeau, Amella Earhard, Jeanne Baret, Roald Amundsen, Yuri Gagarin and more.
It was fascinating to see the children intrigued and inspired, and asking lots of questions to the different important characters.
Well done Year 2 team!
Congratulations to all our ‘Super Stars’ this week!
Wishing everyone a super weekend!
