Week Commencing 15th April
This week we will continue to investigate things that live under the sea. A good game you can try at home is this under the sea guessing game. Can your child guess what animal is being drawn?
Our literacy activities will come from our theatre visit on Monday to The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We will be talking about the days of the week and building on our conceptual understandings of what a week is.
There is a lovely version of the story here that you can watch together at home:
Our maths activities will also be motivated by our trip to the theatre. We will be focusing on matching quantities of items to a numeral and talking about time.
On Wednesday we will have our Arabic Day where the Arabic team have prepared some special activities for the children. We are all excited to find out what we will be doing!
Trip to the Theatre
The Very Hungry Caterpillar theatre trip is on Monday 16th April. All the children must be at school no later than 7:45. The classroom doors are open from 7:30 and we strongly recommend planning on getting to school early on this day. The buses that will take us to the theatre have to leave school at 8am in order for us to reach the theatre in time to watch the show. We are not able to make the buses wait for late children as it means that all the children who have arrived on time would also miss part of the show. Thank you as always for all your help with this, especially given our current parking difficulties.
