For week commencing Sunday, 29th April
This week we will be revisiting and building on our knowledge of suffixes and prefixes, also past and present tense vocabulary and synonyms.
Over the weekend would be a good opportunity to discuss where the children visited on their school trip, using the past tense, what they enjoyed and what they would like to do differently if they went again.
This week we will be applying our knowledge of halving and quartering to experiments and investigations involving capacity and weight. We will then be applying this knowledge to word problems too.
Try measuring and weighing at home by helping in the kitchen.
Next week will see the result of all of our learning on buildings and materials, as we undertake our exciting project ‘Build it up Bahrain’.
We will explore the use of 3D shapes in architecture, and draw upon observations from our bus trip to recreate some of the most iconic buildings from around Bahrain, using recycled materials.
