Similarly, it is not appropriate to excuse your children from school to accommodate flights. Flights should be booked to coincide with the published school holidays.
If your child is unwell and unable to attend school, please inform our Infants’ School Office (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Home / School Communication
We firmly believe that regular, open communication between parents and teachers has a key role to play in your child’s development. We schedule parent/teacher meetings each term to discuss progress on an individual basis. Extensive written reports are sent home at the end of the school year. However, if you have any slight concerns (and nothing is too trivial!), please do not hesitate to make an appointment to meet with your child’s teacher at any point during the year. You can arrange an appointment with the teacher in person, via email or via The Infants’ School Office.
Book Bags (Reception to Year 2 only)
Reading books should be carried to and from the school in regulation BSB book bags. School bags can be purchased from the BSB Uniform Shop.
Children should bring a small lunch to school each day. This should be as healthy as possible, perhaps including a sandwich, juice, fruit, vegetables or a cereal bar. Sweets, chocolate and fizzy drinks should not be sent to school. Snacks should be brought to school in a back pack or small bag. Large trolley type bags are not allowed.
Children are welcome to bring in cupcakes or a plate of healthy treats to share with their classmates on their birthday. Large cakes and party bags are best kept for home celebrations only.
